White Spire School

After School Club

White Spire After-School Club gives your child an opportunity to enjoy some extra time with their friends in a fun and relaxed environment. The club runs four days a week, Monday to Thursday giving pupils from different year groups the opportunity to take part in a wide range activities. Further information regarding these clubs comes out termly. Please see termly correspondance for clubs available for your child.

Monday: Film, Computer and Games Club 3-5pm

Tuesday and Thursday: Alternative weeks pupils have the option between Cooking and Sports 3-5pm

This club is a great opportunity for your child to further develop their skills in the kitchen. Your child will get to cook/bake something different each week and take something delicious home with them. We do ask that if your child is attending cooking club, could they please bring a plastic container with them in order to take their snack home. Sports club provides an opportunity for your child to try a different sport each week, including a variety of invasion games, net and wall games and stricking and fielding games in the summer.

Wednesday: Arts, Crafts and Social Club  3-5pm

This club encourages your child to socialise with their peers in a relaxed atmosphere. Your child will be able to take part in a variety of activities across the term including board games, colouring, Lego, Wii games, hamma beads, making slime etc.

Bookings are made at the beginning of each term and places are offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. When places are filled a waiting list is established. Any bookings not made at the beginning of the term, must be made at least a week before the session takes place, and will be subject to availability.

Each club costs £4 which includes a drink and a small snack. Payment can be made via www.schoolgateway.com. If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website PLUS you can message the school for FREE – this will also save the school money when we send you a text message.

Don’t forget that you can use your short break vouchers. Short Break enables children and young people to experience new opportunities, develop relationships with other people and make new friends, which also contributes to increased confidence and self-esteem. Short Break vouchers are available to children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, aged 0-25, whose education and well-being is the responsibility of Milton Keynes Council. For further details - Email: short.breaks@milton-keynes.gov.uk Telephone: 01908253918

All payments have to be paid in advance, and failure of payment will result in your child not being able to attend the club.Â
