We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We believe that children have a right to learn in a supportive, caring and safe environments, where staff are vigilant for signs of any pupil distress. Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility. White Spire School is committed to:
·       ensuring that all our children and young people are safe and feel safe
·       ensuring that children, parents/carers and staff are able to talk about any safeguarding concerns and feel assured that they will be listened to
·       ensuring that all staff and volunteers are aware of and implement safeguarding procedures and guidance, including what to do if they suspect a child or young person may be experiencing, or be at risk of harm.
All staff are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate. If you have concerns about your child or another child who attends White Spire, please contact one of the school’s Safeguarding Team.
